Keep Calm and #132…
This Sunday my beloved country will pass through the toughest election (if not the most) it has ever faced.
We mexicans are trying to stop the comeback of a political party that lasted for 71 years at the power called PRI (standing for “Institutional Revolutionary Party). The one which caused economic depression, killed hundreds of people for taking a stand, set the education in the hands of a corrupt and vile woman… Amongst other things.
A few months ago 131 college students took a stand against the PRI candidate “Enrique Peña Nieto” letting everybody know we are not willing to give the power back to those who made our people suffer through all these years.
With this 131 students taking a stand, each one of us young mexicans started raising against the regime imposed by the media colluded with the “PRI”, thus making everyone the 132 person joining this movement.
We are three days away of the elections, I’m scared but full of hope.
I’d love to see the eyes of the world set over Mexico and sharing the fight against this “perfect dictatorship”.
I speak for each person, every field worker, student, LGBTTTI member, intellectual, single mother, single father, everyone who have been a victim of that oppressive government. We need our freedom to stop crying our battles and start celebrating our victories.
